24/09/26, 12:00
East Riding College welcomed talented musician and performer Charlie Aky this week for an inspiring and memorable visit that brought students together through the power of music and meaningful conversation.

Students enjoyed a live performance from Charlie, showcasing his musical talent and creating an energetic and positive atmosphere across the college. However, the visit was about much more than music.
Alongside his performance, Charlie spoke openly about important issues affecting young people today, including mental health, healthy relationships and anti-bullying. His honest and thought-provoking messages encouraged students to reflect on their own experiences and consider the importance of looking after themselves and supporting those around them.
The combination of live music and personal discussion gave students an engaging opportunity to explore subjects that can sometimes be difficult to talk about. Charlie's visit highlighted how music can provide a powerful way to connect with young people, open up conversations and share positive messages.
The event was a fantastic opportunity for students to come together, enjoy an inspiring performance and take away some important messages about respect, wellbeing and positive relationships.
