Songwriting Workshops UK
We provide specialist Songwriting Workshops for secondary school pupils all over the UK. These workshops are not delivered by just anyone, they are delivered by actual musicians that are out there working in the music industry everyday. These artists will introduce your pupils to the fulfilling world of songwriting.
This series of Masterclasses, held within schools throughout the UK, will see your young participants learning from scratch how a hit song is created; Brainstorming themes, creating melodies and the layering of instruments and voices – these topics will be looked at during the session.
It doesn’t matter if you aren’t a singer or musician as the whole purpose of the session is to build confidence, unleash creativity and ultimately have fun with music and words – working alongside musicians with a proven track record who have supported artists such as Olly Murs and Little Mix on tour.
Our artists already have extensive experience touring schools, they found from speaking to other teachers that there was a real interest in their students learning about the music industry at a beginner’s level and gaining knowledge on songwriting.
The day will be all about creating a song and the different ways that this can be done. This will be split into three parts "structure" "melody" and "lyrics". On top of this the artist will also discuss what it's like working in the music industry delivering invaluable knowledge. As well as this the artist will also perform for the pupils.
